EnviroMed Services Certified Microbial Investigators (CMI)
and
Certified Microbial Consultants (CMC) are fully trained to assist
you by identifying and evaluating environmental health and
safety problems. In coordination with the assigned facility
representative EnviroMed Services personnel will provide
state-of-the-art sampling, analyses, and air quality monitoring.
We perform indoor air quality surveys including radon,
asbestos, lead, biological monitoring and personal exposure
monitoring. The following indoor air quality services are provided:
Baseline Air Quality Monitoring
Perform a baseline evaluation of each level of a facility for basic
indoor air quality parameters to determine if air quality problems
may be occurring by utilizing real time measurement instrumentation.
These levels shall assist in determining whether the air
conveyance processes are operating properly.
Mold Investigation, Testing and Remediation
Perform a visual inspection, with photojournal documentation
of visible assessment of mold or mildew present.
Recommendation for remediation of mold and techniques to
prevent future mold growth and the adverse health effects it
can cause.
Write mold remediation specification and cost estimates.
Quantitative Exposure Assessment of Hazardous Materials
Perform airborne monitoring of designated areas within
representative locations to determine potential exposure to hazardous material.
Exposure assessments are performed in accordance with
OSHA, NIOSH, and ASHRAE sampling methodologies.
The following types of contaminants can be assessed for
this task: fungi and bacteria in air, bulk and surfaces,
formaldehyde anlaysis, scanning electron microscopy for
particulates such as fiberglass, dust mites,
insect fragments, and silica.
Air Conveyance Hygiene Inspection
Inspect representative locations of each prospective
air conveyance processes to evaluate for general cleanliness
of the ductwork and mechanical systems.
Investigation of these conveyance systems incorporate the
use of prism style or fiber optic borescopes or robotics to reach
points within a system that are not easily accessible by personnel.
Swab samples may be obtained from various points in the
systems if potential infiltration of microbial growth is suspected.
