Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation

Property buyers, owners and commercial lenders are aware of the liability, environmental risks and cleanup costs associated with contaminated properties. Our licensed and certified personnel will identify potential problems, provide a quick response and determine the appropriate course of action. EnviroMed Services has proven experience in conducting Phase I, II and III environmental site assessments conforming to ASTM Standards and Connecticut DEP TASA Standards.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
Perform interviews with persons knowledgable of past or current operations
Obtain historical information from records and sources available
Review aerial photography and historical maps
Review published data on site geology and hydrogeology
Prepare a comprehensive report

Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
Identify the presence or absence of soil and groundwater contamination due to environmental conditions identified during the Phase I Assessment
Install test borings and groundwater monitoring wells
Collect and analyze soil and water samples
Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) will evaluate results of Phase II site investigation to develop the Phase III scope of work if required.
Prepare a comprehensive report

Phase III Environmental Site Assessment
If required, determine the extent of contamination present
• Evaluate the delineated contamination relative to remediation standard regulations
• Identify remedial action alternatives
• LEP selects the remedial approaches by utilizing proposed structures, barriers and institutional controls to prevent exposure to subsurface contaminants.
• Provide most effective method to contain or isolate contamination
• Prepare a comprehensive report
